A competitive athlete in high school, Shirin earned her first group fitness certification in 1998. Her passion and hunger for knowledge of human form and function led Shirin to the human kinetics program at Capilano University and further qualifications. Community minded, Shirin consistently creates new ways to give back.

I diet and exercise, but I’m not losing weight or seeing results. Why?

Healthy eating and exercise are lifetime investments, not passing fads. Documenting exercise and nutrition habits often show we’re not as consistent as we’d like to think. To see progress, it’s important to have a realistic lifelong plan, be consistent, organized, and committed to our goals.

How long does it take to see results?

No two people are the same. Commitment plays a major role in early stage improvements; new exercisers will notice physiological and significant psychological improvements within the first four to six weeks, depending on exercise frequency. Diet also plays a major role, not just in weight loss, but also mass gain and sports performance.

I just want to look good, why does my training program need to be functional?

Functional training ensures optimal muscle balance and postural alignment. Poor postural alignment can lead to injuries due to poor mechanics and overuse. A well designed program should jointly address physical appearance goals and functional posture.

Why do I need a trainer with so much information available on the web?

Simply put, quality over quantity. Internet information is basic, meant for the general masses and may potentially cause injury. Shirin assesses you and your unique movement patterns, then designs a tailor made program for a newly improved version of you. One that can’t be found on Google.

I am too busy to exercise, how can I fit training into my schedule?

Having a professionally designed program means that time spent exercising will be maximally effective and efficient. Furthermore, as Shirin is a mobile trainer, you can save time by having her come to a location convenient for you.

I am too old to exercise; why should I start now?

It may be cliché, but it’s never too late to start. Significant physiological and psychological changes can be achieved at any age, and you’re never too old to begin living a healthy lifestyle. An exercise program can ensure you stay active, pain free, independent and happy throughout your golden years.

As with any tailor made product or service, the prices will vary depending on client needs and wishes, and the services provided.
